Twas the Night Santa Learned the Truth
Twas the night of the nativity, and all through the town,
The shepherds stood watching while angels came down.
The sheep were all nestled and munching their hay,
When out of the sky came a jingling sleigh. 🎄
With a “Ho Ho Ho!” Santa landed nearby,
His reindeer pranced under the Bethlehem sky.
The shepherds stood frozen, their staffs in a grip,
“What strange beast is this? A celestial ship?” 🚀
Santa dismounted, his cheeks all aglow,
“Have I missed a new chimney? Where should I go?”
He peeked at the manger and scratched his red hat,
“I don’t see a tree or cookies—what’s that?” 🍪
A shepherd stepped forward, his eyes open wide,
“Sir, this is the Savior, God’s Son come to guide.
No stockings, no gifts, no toys on a shelf,
Just God’s gift of love: Emmanuel Himself.” 🙏
The reindeer grew restless and pawed at the straw,
While Santa stood silent, in wonder and awe.
“So this is the reason for all of the cheer?
It’s not toys or tinsel, but Him lying here?” 🎁
The angels sang loudly; the star shone so bright,
Santa bowed low on that first Christmas night.
Then back to his sleigh he flew with a grin,
“To all a good night—but let’s start with Him.” ✨
The shepherds chuckled as Santa took flight,
A jolly old soul, now set on what’s right.
For Christmas, they knew, isn’t just worldly fun—
It’s the birth of our Savior, God’s only Son. ❤️
