Living Loved Every Day

Living Loved Every Day

Many of us understand God’s love in theory, but living loved every day is another story. We often struggle to accept love, whether from God, others, or even ourselves. Maybe it’s because of past experiences, wounds, or disappointments. Maybe we’ve been let down or told—by words or actions—that we weren’t lovable. But Scripture tells us a different story: we are deeply loved by God, not because of what we do, but because of who He is. Let’s look at living loved ever day!

Trust like a child—walk with confidence in the love of your Heavenly Father.

The Struggle to Accept Love

For much of my life, understanding a Father’s love was difficult. My dad died just after I turned four, leaving me with only two memories of him. One was of being disciplined when I disobeyed, and the other was the day he died, clutching his chest as my sister hurried me to another room. That day is burned into my memory. My mother never remarried, and I never had a strong male role model.

Without a father, I grew up with a distorted view of love—one that felt conditional, uncertain, or even absent. As I grew in my Christian walk, I knew God was my Father, but I didn’t truly understand what that meant. What did a Father’s love even look like? It wasn’t until I became a father myself that my relationship with God, the Father, began to evolve. Loving my own child helped me realize that a father’s love isn’t about perfection—it’s about presence, patience, and unwavering care. Even now, years later, I sometimes struggle with this. But I’ve learned that God’s love is far greater than my past, my experiences, or even my doubts.

Biblical Truths About God’s Love

If you have ever struggled with fully accepting God’s love, you are not alone. But Scripture makes it clear:

  • God’s love is everlasting and unchanging.

“Long ago the Lord said to Israel: ‘I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.’” – Jeremiah 31:3 (NLT)

  • Nothing can separate us from God’s love.

“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.” – Romans 8:38 (NLT)

  • God’s love is not based on our performance.

“But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” – Romans 5:8 (NLT)

These truths counter the lies we often believe—that we must earn love, that we can lose it, or that we are unworthy of it. The reality is, God’s love is secure, constant, and unshakable.

Living Loved: Practical Steps

So how do we take these biblical truths and actually live loved every day? Here are a few practical steps:

  1. Start your day reminding yourself of God’s love. Begin with a verse like Romans 8:38 and speak it over yourself: “Nothing can separate me from the love of God.”
  2. Stop striving and rest in His grace. You don’t have to prove yourself to God. He already delights in you (Zephaniah 3:17).
  3. Reject negative self-talk. When doubt creeps in, replace lies with truth. Instead of “I am not enough,” remind yourself, “I am loved by God, and He says I am enough.”
  4. See yourself through God’s eyes. Just as I struggled to understand a Father’s love until I became a father, sometimes we need to shift our perspective and ask: How does God see me?
  5. Extend love to others. Jesus said the second greatest commandment is to love your neighbor as yourself(Mark 12:31). But if we don’t love ourselves the way God loves us, how can we truly love others? When we embrace God’s love for us, it overflows into how we love those around us.

In God’s eyes, you have always been loved—it’s time to see it for yourself. ❤️✨

A Love That Transforms

Living loved every day is not about a feeling—it’s about choosing to believe what God says about us over what our past, our pain, or our fears say.

My journey with understanding a Father’s love is still unfolding, and maybe yours is too. But here’s the truth: You are loved. Deeply. Fully. Unconditionally. And when you begin to live in that truth, it changes everything.
