Hi, I’m Raymond Smith, and welcome to Disciple Blueprint—a space where my heart’s desire is to help fellow Christians grow as fully devoted disciples of Jesus Christ.

I’m a native Texan who now calls Smethport, Pennsylvania, home. My journey as a follower of Christ began at the age of six when I first accepted Jesus as my Savior. At 32, I rededicated my life to Him, seeking to live more fully in His will. Since then, I have continually strived to deepen my relationship with Christ and help others do the same. I currently worship and serve at Hilltop Baptist Church.

I’ve been blessed with a long career in the Information Technology industry, where I worked for 44 years before being laid off recently. This transition in my professional life has opened new opportunities for ministry and personal reflection. God has also walked with me through the profound loss of my wife, Wendy, to whom I was married for 32 years. Though her absence has left a great void, her love and our shared faith continue to inspire me every day.

I’m also a proud father of two adult children: a 42-year-old son and a 38-year-old daughter. They are a constant source of joy and support in my life.

The vision behind Disciple Blueprint comes from a passion to fulfill the Great Commission given to us by Jesus in Matthew 28:19-20—to go and make disciples of all nations. Throughout my life, I’ve seen firsthand how faith can grow stronger and deeper when we truly commit to being disciples, and it is my hope that this blog will help fill in the gaps in your faith journey.
