Background

My wife Wendy passed away in April of 2024. She loved her Mustang Convertible. After her passing, I thought seriously about selling it. I just didn’t think I could drive it, but something happened. My niece and 2 nephews love that car. So I didn’t sell it, we take it whenever we can. The joy it brought Wendy has been passed along to her niece and nephews.

A joyful scene of a bald, chubby man in his 60s driving a Mustang convertible, wearing shorts and a t-shirt. His 12-year-old niece with long brown hair and glasses is in the front seat, while two boys—one 12 years old with light blonde hair and the other 9 years old with medium blonde hair—are in the backseat, smiling and enjoying the ride.
Cruising in style—family adventures and cherished memories on the open road! 🚗🌞

Riding with Wendy’s Spirit

In the Mustang, top down, the wind in our hair,
Cruising together, without a single care.
The niece in the front, her glasses aglow,
Two nephews in the back, with laughter in tow.

The speakers are thumping, a beat so divine,
We’re jamming to tunes as we hug every line.
Each smile and each laugh, they’re not just our own,
For Aunt Wendy rides with us, her presence well-known.

“This was her car,” I say with a grin,
“She loved every ride, every curve, every spin.”
The kids cheer louder, their joy fills the air,
And for a moment, it’s like she’s right there.

The road stretches on, the sun starts to dip,
Aunt Wendy’s memories cling to this trip.
Her laughter, her spirit, her love shines through,
In the Mustang’s embrace, we’re a family anew.

So here we all ride, with hearts full of song,
With Wendy beside us, her love carries on.
Through music and miles, her legacy stays,
In the joy of these moments and the love that we praise.
