The Lies We Believe

Satan whispers in the dark of night,
Planting seeds of doubt, stealing our light.
He crafts his lies to pull us away,
But God’s truth stands firm and will not sway.

“You’ll never be good enough,” Satan declares,
“Your flaws are too great; no one cares.”
But God says, “You are fearfully made,”
“My grace is sufficient; don’t be afraid.”

“You’ll always be a failure,” he hisses low,
“Dreams will crumble wherever you go.”
But God assures, “I guide your way,”
“With Me, success is found each day.”

“No one loves you,” the enemy cries,
“You’re unseen, forgotten; love always dies.”
Yet God proclaims, “I loved you first,”
“Through My Son’s sacrifice, quenched was your thirst.”

“You’re a burden,” Satan sneers with delight,
“Your struggles weigh others; you’re not worth the fight.”
God says, “Cast your cares on Me,”
“In My family, you’re cherished eternally.”

“You’ll never change,” Satan plants the doubt,
“Your past defines you, there’s no way out.”
God promises, “A new life I begin,”
“The old is gone; you’re renewed within.”

“You must be perfect,” his venomous lie,
“Fail, and they’ll leave; don’t even try.”
But God offers, “Rest in My grace,”
“Your worth isn’t earned; it’s My gift in place.”

“You’re broken forever,” his cruel refrain,
“The pieces can’t mend; you’ll stay in pain.”
God heals, “I bandage the brokenhearted,”
“In My love, restoration is started.”

“You’ll never measure up,” the enemy jeers,
“Comparison confirms all your fears.”
God replies, “You are wonderfully made,”
“Unique, beloved; let comparison fade.”

“Happiness isn’t for you,” he insists,
“Joy is fleeting, it doesn’t exist.”
But Jesus says, “I give joy to overflow,”
“In My presence, true peace you’ll know.”

“God doesn’t care,” the last lie to fall,
“Your prayers are unheard; He’s not there at all.”
But God declares, “I’m with you always,”
“Call on Me; I’ll guide your ways.”

Satan’s lies crumble, truth breaks the chain,
God’s Word prevails; freedom we gain.
In His love, we’re more than enough,
Through Christ’s strength, we overcome the tough.
